Rock Is Dead, Long Live Rock

With the passing of David Bowie and now Glen Frey, what more can we expect from the community of rapidly aging rock stars? I googled a few names and found the following:

Eric Clapton-age 70

Bob Dylan-age 74

Ringo Starr-age 75

Paul McCartney-age 73

Pete Townshend-age 70

Elton John-age 68

David Gilmour-age 69

Mick Fleetwood-68

And, of course:

Chuck Berry-89

There are surely many more, but the implication is clear-the classic rock era is fading into history. But it surely won’t be forgotten.
